So.Much.Resistance. It’s only day 3 and I’m feeling like “why did I start this, do I have anything else interesting to say?” This is where I’d tell my friends, clients and students to HONOR YOUR BODY! Honor how you are feeling today, in this moment and in this space. Because really, the hardest part is showing up, from there just take a deep breath in through the nose - out through the mouth, release and surrender into this moment. (I hope you stopped to take a deep breath, I sure did).Day 3 Resistance
Someone once told me that you resist the things you need the most. If there were a poster for resistance it would have my face on it, as that is such an accurate statement for the past 30 some years of my life. Here it is (deep breath), a moment of brutal honesty where I share something I don’t usually admit to myself let alone others. I’m not great with following through on things I’ve started, just ask my mom.. My childhood consisted of various short-lived hobbies & collectable items such as my innocent but yet victim of resistance, Rocky, who was my pet horse that I received for me 10th birthday. RIP Rocky.
Not to fall victim to the narrative I created, here is me showing up and following through with something I started. No one said doing a blog post for 31 days was going to be easy. No one said dedicating my life and work to helping others find love was going to be easy, but one step at a time, one day at a time. Start with showing up, honoring what is alive for you today and continue showing up everyday with an open mind and an open heart.
Some days my blog posts will be methodical, well planned and timely. Others, like today will be me speaking from a place of presence, where I tap into and honor what is real for me today.
So, what is alive for you today?
