Cannabis allows me to see my orgasmic potential.
But discovering my orgasmic abilities was met with shame and guilt.
I feared that cannabis was a crutch and it was the reason for my epic orgasms.
But with the help of my tantric coach, I realized that it wasn't cannabis that produced those orgasms, it was me, it was my body! Cannabis just showed me what was possible..
I like to tell this story a lot. It's my journey of connecting to the divine energy of the plant, how it helped me stay present in my body during sex and how it unleashed my ORGASMIC potential!!!!
You might be thinking.. oh that is just her experience and she's just lucky..but no it's many people's experience and here is why!
I give you..
3 reasons cannabis increases pleasure
broken down and backed by science and personal experiences.
1. Promotes Relaxation
We all get stressed but did you know it is a main deterrent of sexual desire? In fact stress is one of the MAIN causes of erectile dysfunction!?
During stressful situations, our bodies secrete hormones that deliver stress signals to our nervous system to help us cope with the stress. Part of that nervous system is the endocannabinoid system, which our bodies depend on for producing a hormone called anandamide or the “bliss molecule.” Within the endocannabinoid system we have cannabinoid receptors which helps us with things such as appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory. Anandamide is a cannabinoid similar to THC except we produce it ourselves. Anandamide works when it hooks directly to receptors found in the brain and central nervous system.
In short, When we consume cannabis, the cannabinoids from the plant take the place of anandamide in our CB receptors which is perfect for times when our body is not producing enough anandamide on its own or we've had a stressful day.
Being present in our bodies is essential for increased sexual pleasure. Focusing on our sensations and pleasure is the goal but majority of the time we found ourselves thinking about other things like "is the door locked, did I feed the dog.." Or the opposite, we focus too much on the act itself "does this feel ok, is my partner enjoying it, do I look fat."
Cannabis helps produce the hormone dopamine (isn't it funny that 'dope' is in the pronunciation?) which is a chemical neurotransmitter that is involved in cognitive processes like memory and attention. So cannabis is able to provide the mental slowdown necessary for concentration thereby helping us focus on our sensations and pleasure!
3. Heightened feelings of euphoria
Ever wonder why food tastes better, music sounds better or sex feels better while high?
I'm about to break it down!
The main active chemical in marijuana is THC. We have certain nerve cells in the brain that contain protein receptors that bind to THC. Once securely in place, THC kicks off a series of cellular reactions, causing us to feel euphoric or 'high' by activating our brains reward center the same way that good food, good company or a good hug does. THC stimulates brain cells to release the chemical dopamine (theres that amazing dope-amine again!)
There you have it!
With love and pleasure,
